Principles
- Follow the child — let the child choose purposeful work and repeat it freely.
- A prepared environment with orderly, self-correcting, concrete materials.
- Hands-on, sensory learning before abstract symbols.
- Mixed-age, uninterrupted work periods that build concentration and independence.
- The adult observes and guides rather than directs.
